Lost City of the Desert Located Believed Oldest in North America
Archaeologists report the discovery of Puebla Grande near the Valley of Fire in Nevada, beneath the Grand Canyon area. M R Harrington of the Museum of the American Indian led the dig revealing circular multi chambered structures and graves with bowls, a dog, and a rock hammer. Estimates place the site's age from 10,000 years ago to 2,000 years ago, with government structures possibly resembling communism. Established by red skinned builders using jade and jasper, the Lost City is named by local trappers and prospectors. Excavations by the Heye Foundation followed an exploratory party that identified signs of a settled civilization in a desert city ruins.
