Hazel Glover and Dan Stratton both 19 of Houston were found dying from apparent poisoning in a car in a suburb. The coroner and county officials planned autopsy as residents heard screams after midnight. Stratton and Glover had reportedly spent Friday night together and were said to be married according to Stratton’s aunt.
Community notes show Fannin County club members attending a Short Course in College Station with around sixty traveling Sunday. Bonham merchants sponsor round trip tickets for about thirty. Companion Jo Williams said two Brashear youths offered a ride from the Commerce picnic. they then drove toward the boarding house and Cole jumped from the moving car. She was treated at Commerce and Greenville hospitals. investigators probe the incident.
Denison residents report the free Denison bridge opened today after a federal injunction was suspended. Hundreds of cars crossed as the barrier was removed, while Texas and Oklahoma officials moved to resolve related injunctions and bridge toll issues with the state suing to open the crossing.
