An August referendum will determine approval or disapproval of the sheep and wood promotion agreement between the American Sheep Producers Council and the U S Secretary of Agriculture. Ballots go to known producers owning sheep six months or older. eligibility requires receipts for wool and sheep sales. Ballots mailed within weeks, due by August 19. six months of ownership and farming couples must show ownership percentages. Approximately 60 producers have filed receipts. organizers urge others to file soon.
