IT Leaders To Get Training In Tractor Work
Twenty one Texas 4-H leaders have begun training in the 1947 National 4-H Tractor Maintenance Program at state clinics. The program, supervised by the State Agricultural College Extension Service, covers carburetion ignition cooling irrigation valve adjustment and other tractor basics. Upon completion leaders will train members and assist in maintenance efforts. Superior club boy records merit awards from Stanolind Oil and Gas Co. County winners receive silver medals. the state champion earns a trip to the Chevy 4-H Club Congress with funds for selected readers to attend state clinics.

Three Negroes To Face Murder Charges
Caldwell Texas July 29 UP three Negroes face murder charges after a knife fight that killed Deputy Constable Walter Secusta and injured Constable Robert Wavenk. Sheriff Cleve Bates said a fourth man would also be charged. The disturbance occurred at Snook after officers were summoned to quell a disturbance in a cafe.
