38 Year Old Letter Found in Syracuse
In Syracuse Sicily a public records office letter mailed on February 14 1939 was found nearly 38 years later by the town’s public prosecutor while reviewing a rental lease request for government offices. Windom Man Fatally Shot In His Chest
Sylvester Williams , 30, was found Sunday morning with an apparent self inflicted gunshot wound to the chest. Justice of the Peace R F Rankin said evidence leans toward death by own action. Williams borrowed a 20 gauge shotgun from a neighbor and told her he was going hunting. Neighbors heard the shotgun blast and called the Fannin County Sheriff's deputies.

Blood trail mystery solved near Ladonia and Whitewright
The 30 mile trail of blood sighted Friday on the highway between Ladonia and Whitewright is explained by Harvey Trapp. A truck hauling horse carcasses from Ladonia to a dog food plant in Whitewright dripped blood, making a prominent stain in the highway’s right lane and at Wolfe City intersections. Fire crews in Wolfe City and Ladonia were sent to wash it away.
