Bonham Man Injured By Shotgun Accident
A Bonham man Lee Mendenhall was wounded in the forehead when a 410 double barrel shotgun exploded during a rabbit hunt 65 miles north of Lamasco. He was firing the left barrel. both barrels blew up and the primer struck his forehead. He was treated and released at a local clinic. Officers Craig Eaton and game warden Carl Adams investigated.

Fire Destroys Lee's Grocery At Leonard
Fire destroyed the interior of Lee's Grocery at the southeast corner of the square in Leonard in the early hours of Monday. Firemen battled the blaze in 14 degree weather from 1 to 3 am. Heat caused items to explode and melt. Owners Mr and Mrs Lee Yeager said they had insurance but unsure of coverage. no damage figure yet. The blaze is believed to have started in the southeast corner. the chief said the cause was not yet determined.
