Claud Bolin announced the Gober Community barbecue will be held Saturday March 6 with large turnout expected. The Stephenson PTO will host its annual chili supper Wednesday starting at 5 pm with good chili homemade pies and drinks.
Texoma Regional Blood Bank will operate a mobile unit at Fannin County Hospital in Bonham on Wednesday from 9 30 a m to 5 p m. Donors may drop by for a pint and learn about donor plans guaranteeing blood for transfusions anywhere. Call hospital administrator John Templain for details.
North Texas farmers report drying fields and reduced harvest prospects due to continuing drought. Lt. Riker cites dry tanks and lake water use while Dr James Read calls the state in drought, with rainfall 5 to 10 inches below normal in most areas and high plains especially hard hit.

Robert Dale, tax assessor collector, announced that new blue voter certificates will be mailed to all registered voters in February. The certificates will be valid March 1 1976 to February 28 1978. Voters should sign upon receipt and keep it. Anyone 18 or older or unregistered should register at the courthouse first floor tax office. State law requires registration at least 30 days before an election.

Former U S senator J William Fulbright received a 25000 annual retainer from seven sheikdoms for Hogan and Hartson. The firm will provide legal representation and advice to United Arab Emirates without political activity. Fulbright's registration with the Justice Department is incomplete. O Shea notes he may need to register if he serves the foreign government.
UPI reports federal Judge William Wayne Justice will assess proposed reforms for the Texas Youth Council detention centers. The review follows his 1974 order establishing new standards after a 1971 class action on behalf of juvenile inmates.
