Wayne Cranfill and Mrs. Mable London of Extension Service sponsor two meetings for Fannin county residents. A parliamentary procedure school for 4 H HD officers and other clubs will be held Wednesday night in the courthouse assembly room. Thursday night a session on income tax and social security for farmers and ranchers takes place in the Fannin Electric Co Op meeting room.
The Bonham Boys Baseball directors will meet at 7:30 p.m. tonight in the chamber of commerce office to discuss upcoming games and team affairs.

Lloyd Anderson, a first grade student at Doud City, was listed in critical condition at St. Paul hospital in Dalus after being struck by a car while crossing U S 82 at Dodd City Monday noon. Driver identified as Fort Worth resident Mrs Valda Newhouse Ausburn stated she slowed to the speed limit and to avoid the group before the collision.
A short income tax and Social Security school for farmers and ranchers will be held Thursday night in the Fannin County Rural Electric Cooperative meeting room. The session starts at 7 p.m. with speakers James Mallett of the Texas A&M Extension Service and Bob Seikel of Social Security.
A truck pulling a mobile home and a pickup collided on U S 82 just east of Bonham city limits. Leroy Wroten of New Mexico pulled the mobile home and Marion Charles Wallace of Bonham Rt 3 drove the pickup. Wroten attempted to reenter the right lane and struck the pickup’s front bumper.
Bonham Independent School District trustees discuss the April 1 trustee election and consider unifying district insurance under a single agent of record. They also review a continuing contract proposal for teachers and a Mexico trip for the Los Conquistadors Spanish club. Bonds investments yielded about 12000 dollars for district needs.
Judge A. M. Harrison revoked the probation of a man and a woman in the 6th District Court. The woman also received an additional two year sentence on another charge. J. B. Bunch and Carole Bunch had their probation revoked and Carole Bunch drew a two year sentence after pleading guilty to forging and passing a check.
West Germany reports unemployment above 500000 in mid January, about 2.6 percent of the labor force. Cold weather blamed for a construction sector slowdown.
Bonham junior high musicians Steve McKinzie and Joe Reynolds earned spots in the 100 member regional all region junior high band. McKinzie won first chair in snare drums and Reynolds earned the tympani chair after try outs at Lake Highlands. They faced about 450 candidates and will rehearse next Saturday in Mesquite before a public concert.
Fines totaling 240 were assessed against Mickey James after his arrest Sunday night by City Officers Sam Patton and Fred Clark. The chase ended with James accused of speeding and running red lights and failing to yield to a flashing red light and siren.
Federal Judge Oliver Gasch denied defense motions to throw out charges against Robert G. Baker or suppress star witness Wayne Bromley. Williams argued Bromley was illegally tapped as a “walking bug” to overhear conversations with former Senate secretary, but Bromley testified he cashed $24,000 in checks for Baker and that $5,000 in checks were endorsed in his name and cashed by another.
Forecasters warn of a chilly Bonham morning with low twenties expected as a cold front drives strong north winds and overcast skies. Temperatures fell from 34 at 7:30 a.m. and may drop to the lower 20s before rising to the upper 30s by afternoon, with no rain forecast despite Panhandle snow.
