More than 30 4-H members from Windom Bonham Ladonia Ivanhoe Gober Leonard and Trenton will compete Saturday afternoon in the courthouse first floor corridor. The 1 30 p m to 3 30 p m event features matin and side dishes breads desserts snacks and beverages with two age divisions 9 to 13 and 14 to 19. Ribbons go to top in each class and division. county top scorers advance to the March 13 district show in Town East Dallas.

Attorneys have chosen four jurors for the Norvil Taylor capital murder trial in Childress Tex related to the July 4 1973 murder of 84 year old Herman King. Both sides questioned 43 veniremen and expect jury selection to continue through the week.
