Viet Cong Attack Destroys 18 Helicopters At Mekong Delta Base
Viet Cong bomb squad blew up 18 helicopters at Can Tho airbase 75 miles southwest of Saigon injuring and killing Americans. The raid came as gunners shelled Saigon area commands and Hue fronts, with 40,000 Communist troops said to be moving south toward the capital as the Tet lunar new year nears.
