Plan to Light Way for Airmen On Dallas Chicago Route

Commerce department releases details of lighting the Dallas Chicago airway. Seventy two lights including five revolving beacons and thirty gas blinkers will be installed by air mail contractors. By month end January five hundred one miles of the route expected lit, with 136 miles already illuminated in the northern end. Fifteen new air fields added to improve night flight safety. Government reports 91 killed in Mexican clashes

Mexico City January 12 — ninety one combatants have fallen in two weeks of clashes between federal troops and insurgents. Seventy three are listed as insurrectionists. General Jo Alvarez, chief of staff to President Calles, said the government can cope with the opposition.
