Mrs. H. A. Cunningham suffered second and third degree burns on her back hands and face when a dressing robe and gown caught fire near a stove at 304 West 7th in Bonham. Her daughter Virginia Stocks aided by extinguishing flames and calling an ambulance. Cunningham remains in critical condition at the Medical and Surgical hospital.
Mr and Mrs William Brown recently back from three weeks in Europe spent New Year in Bonham with relatives and bought bacon eggs bread and more at Piggly Wiggly to stock up for New York on New Year’s Day when stores reopen.

Bonham school employees will start the scholastic census of the district Wednesday afternoon. Sept. M. B. Nelson said school would dismiss at 2 p m Wednesday and Thursday to allow enumerators to begin early. All children who are at least six years old and have not passed their 13th birthday by Sept 1 must be listed.
Texas legislators convene a third special session led by Gov Price Daniel to expand abandoned property reporting to cover bank accounts.
