Associated Press reports Sheff Fred Hunt of Tisnomingo was named warden of Granite State reformatory succeeding Mrs. George A. Waters, the only woman to head a men's prison in the United States. Waters was ousted after Sunday's break at the facility when 32 inmates fled and a guard was killed. 18 fugitives remain at large. Peter McClelland of Waco, Texas, died two weeks after inheriting $300,000 from a 38 year lawsuit.
