Vietnamese attack foiled as artillery hits allied bases
North Vietnamese gunners in Laos opened fire on 29,000 allied troops massed along the South Vietnam border. One American was killed. Two Out-of-State Men Charged In Bonham Robbery Attempt

Cold Weather Through Sunday in Bonham Area
The National Weather Service says cold weather will persist in the Bonham area through Sunday with fair to partly cloudy skies. Lows near 25 Saturday night and a high around 47 Sunday. Friday peaked at 58 and Saturday morning dropped to 33 with cooler readings spreading from the Gulf.
