Water leak, manhole cover drop and arrests in Bonham
A water leak on Pecan street near Seven Oaks Nursing Home was reported Saturday morning. Police found a broken manhole cover in the 1100 block of Evans street, which had fallen into the manhole. An Oklahoma man was charged with public intoxication after Friday night arrest. A Commerce woman who escaped Terrell State hospital was apprehended by Bonham police Friday.

Three Fannin Men Face Narcotics Charges in Multi-State Case
Three Fannin county men were arrested on narcotics charges after a six month investigation by Texas DPS and Oklahoma and Louisiana agencies. Jerry Wayne Sewell was charged with four counts of delivery of controlled substances in Justice of the Peace R. Mankin’s court. Charles V. Metzger Jr and Bonnie L. Godwin were charged with possession of controlled substances. Bonds set at 85,000 for Sewell and 1,000 for each Metzger and Godwin. Sewell to be returned to Fannin county and held in Grayson county jail in lieu of bond.
