New Texas highway map issued with expanded interstate mileage
The Texas Highway Department releases a new official map and expects 1.5 million copies to be distributed this year. In 1968, 1.2 million copies were distributed. The updated maps add 127 miles to the interstate system, bringing Texas total interstate mileage to about 2.1 thousand miles open to traffic.

Nixon plans five nation European tour with talks on peace
