Bonham School System Seeks $2.5 Million Bond Issue
A 120 member citizen study committee heard the Bonham school board present a master plan to enlarge and improve facilities. The plan proposes a $2.5 million bond issue to be voted March 10 in five steps including enlarging the current junior high, a new building for seventh and eighth grades near the tennis courts, and moving the athletic field to accommodate the new building.

Sen J William Fulbright told a Senate inquiry that three billion dollars in U S economic aid over the past decade is the main driver of U S involvement in South Viet Nam He opened hearings on the administration request for four hundred fifteen million dollars in foreign economic aid for the new fiscal year and discussed the total U S outlay in Viet Nam including military costs with AID head David Bell Bell said the figure would rise next year and that public support for Saigon remains strong amid Viet Cong violence in northeast Thailand and at the border.

A All Nippon Airways Boeing 727 with 133 aboard crashed into Tokyo Bay seven miles from Tokyo during approach in clear weather. All on board feared dead in Japan's worst air disaster. Seven Ector boys were being questioned by County Attorney Pat Beene and Sheriff Dudley Jackson Friday morning regarding thefts of gas and batteries from cars, trucks, and tractors in the Ector area. Air Raids Resume On North Vietnam Amid Losses

China Protests Alleged Attack on Embassy in Jakarta
