Opal Adcock son of Mr and Mrs W A Adcock of Bonham Texas is home after 338 days of combat in five operations with the 32nd Red Arrow Division. He served as third crewman on a cannon company tank with the 126th Infantry Regiment and earned the Asiatic Pacific Ribbon with three battle stars the Combat Infantryman Badge and the Philippine Liberation Medal with one star. He saw action in New Guinea Morotai Leyte and Luzon and remained in action in the Caraballo Mountains of Northern Luzon at the war's end. He departed for the United States shortly before the 126th Infantry sailed for Kyushu.
