In Tokyo on February 26 the capitulation of insurgent soldiers ended an attempted coup. They left the police headquarters where they had barricaded themselves in defiance of loyal troops. Authorities say the peril in the capital streets is over and danger has passed.

In Cleburne Texas on February 2 three men George Limerick Stanley Gartside and Harvey Anderson went on a crow hunt and killed three black crows. Anderson prepared the feast baking the birds and the men said it was plenty good eating adding they would have thought it if they had not known in advance.
