New Orleans television station reports F. Lee Bailey is probing Baton Rouge Teamster official Edward G. Partin possibly at the request of convicted union leader James Hoffa. Bailey says he may reveal more in coming weeks and denies representing Hoffa currently.
A Faucett Airlines domestic flight crashed into a jungle mountain near Lima killing 67 people. Among the dead were eight Americans tentatively named as Robert Hauck and his wife Covnie 93 and others including Evelyn Craig Joseph Newman Patric Vinchon Monique Vinchon Philippe de Ganay and Dominique de Ganay along with five Italians two Britons and two Belgians.
