Prospects Improve for Cotton as Harvest Advances
Cotton prospects improve with each day as much of the crop is already saved and worms or weevils are few. A few more days of current weather may yield a good harvest with some farmers estimating three quarters to a bale per acre and several predicting the largest yield since 1900. The corn crop will be only fair but sufficient for local needs with some surplus.
