Bob Cantrell said he was washing his hands of it as Deets Dorough Buster Cole and Pete Holman prepared ballot and tally boxes for the Saturday Democratic primary. Bondi singers shine at East Texas State College contests

Bondi vocalists earned 25 First Division superior ratings and 31 Second Division excellent ratings as ensembles or soloists at East Texas State College in Commerce on Tuesday. Sheriff Returns To Glen Rose After Missing Sheriff

Somervell County Sheriff Paul Bone and his wife were found in Glen Rose and Bone was arrested and released on a 5000 dollar bond on federal embezzlement charges. His wife said he would surrender later in Cleburne where the district attorney and judge offices are. A three week search had followed his being named in complaints alleging embezzlement of 230 in county funds. The FBI had said Bone crossed into Mexico at Laredo in April and a federal charge was filed in Waco on April 9.

A sheriff stake-out west of Bonham captured a load of beer wine and whiskey. Deputy H R Van Zandt arrested Albert Smith Jr on US 82. Smith pled guilty to transportation of liquor and was fined 100 dollars plus costs by County Judge Choice Moore in county court.
