Mrs. Mary Crawford was killed when she, seeking to retrieve her daughter from a home shared by two teen brothers aged 18 and 16, was shot in the head. Police expect murder charges against the 18-year-old as the case unfolds.

A dozen tornadoes hit Mississippi Sunday injuring at least 12 and damaging Main Street areas. One man suffered a heart attack, others reported cuts, with damages estimated at 75 000 to 100 000 dollars.
Funeral services for Judge S F Leslie 92 prominent Bonham figure will be Tuesday at 10 am at Wise Funeral chapel Bonham following his death Saturday night April 12 1969 in a Bonham hospital. Interment at Willow Wild. He served as Fannin county attorney 1910 14 county judge 1914 18 and as special assistant to the U S attorney general 1939 53 aiding land acquisition for Lake Texoma. He helped organize Bonham State Bank in 1931 and chaired its board until 1965. He was a UT Law graduate and star athlete.

District judges from the Denton extension office will visit on April 29, with the prospect of advancing to state level. past results show Gober as district champion the last two years, with prior state placements of third and fourth.
