The United States civil service commission announces an examination to certify candidates for the fourth class postmaster vacancy in Ravenna. Applications close Friday May 2. The test will be held in Bonham on a later date. Ravenna’s post office compensation last year was $02. Miss Lillis Kincaid is acting Postmaster.
Notice details a May 8 1941 election in Bonham Texas on issuing 6 million dollar serial bonds to acquire maintain and operate an airport with tax levies to pay interest and principal. It lists election officials election procedures and a suspension of committee referral for urgent airport improvements and defense needs. Also includes multiple Texas insurance company certificates of authority issued March 1941.
