Bonham city commission opened bids for a fire truck chassis and equipment to upgrade fire protection. Jerry Boone had the apparent low bid on the chassis at 7297, with Meador at 8212.06. Equipment bids ranged from 13246 by Boardman Co to 15694.55 by American Fire Apparatus Co. Trans Tex Co bid 45.38 per 100 feet for 4000 feet of 2 inch pipe. Aubrey McAlister and John Arledge reappointed to Water Authority board. Gene Danner re-elected mayor. Bud Moody mayor pro-tem. City will seek bids for petroleum products at May meeting.

Bonham Independent School District officials reorganized the board after the April 6 election. Dr L C Biggers was re elected president, John Meade vice president and Joe Denton secretary.
