An assortment of visitors and residents arrive or pass through Bonham including Dr. T. P. Seay of Nacogdoches taking charge duties, Dr. Blair of Gober, Rev. M. L. Hamilton, Mrs. J. F Bucklew, Miss Lila Bacon, and many others visiting relatives or on business.
County Court met in regular session this morning with many cases on the docket. Frank Whaley pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace and was fined with costs. Bynum Smith also pled guilty and was fined. Walter Mastwood was found not guilty on a minor charge. Other defendants faced sessions for gaming and alleged local offences during the day.
Hon Rice Maxey of Sherman addressed a large crowd at the courthouse this afternoon at 2 o clock. A synopsis of the speech will appear in tomorrow's edition. Also an insurance notice urges owners to insure horses against death or injury with prompt payout promised by the company.
