Confederate Veteran Dies After Fall From Train

Thomas Nolan a Confederate veteran from Houton Texas fell from the AMENAPHIS and Ponce de Leon trains near Tampa on the way to the reunion and was killed. The body was found on the railroad track by section hands this morning according to a message from Defuniak.

Services Held Last Night by the Churches

The First Methodist Church held a well attended Tuesday service with choir and orchestra. Rev. Walter W. Armteing delivered a sermon on Jesus method of evangelism and disciple training, urging church members to win others where they live and support evangelistic effort. The evening included a sermon by Evangelist W. W. ill of Randolph and a clean-up tier by J. Lasser.

Prayer Service Attendance Reported At Local Churches

About one hundred women attended the prayer service at the First Presbyterian church Tuesday afternoon. After silent prayer Mrs Bland Smith sang He Watches Over Me. A season of prayer was led by Mrs Peters with Mr Adams closing. The Methodist church reported 74 visits and the Christian church 20. It is hoped every church will file a report tomorrow.
