Allens Point Club Reports April Meeting and Centennial Programs
Allen's Point club met April 2 at Mrs Harmon Brown's home with 12 members and two visitors. Readings on Texas and missions were given and a club quilt plan formed. A pie supper is set for April 11 at Allens Point schoolhouse. Pre centennial programs in Selfft and Michigan drew 65–86 adults and 23–25 children, with music by local performers and a portrait of Sam Houston's enslaved attendant. Next meeting April 16 at Mrs L J Whitlock's home.

Death of Aubrey White in Oklahoma community
Aubrey White aged 52 died at his Hoildenville home last Thursday and was buried at Du Yant the next day. A native of Roldenville for 22 years he built and ran a large dairy piano factory. He belonged to the Presbyterian church and Matonic lodge and was active in civic affairs. Survived by his widow and son in law. Mrs White is a niece of Mrs J Tr Lawson who lives three miles Sonkar.
