New Years Program For Honey Grove Church Women

The Woman’s Missionary Society of the Methodist Church met at the Honey Grove church with Mrs Frank Welch presiding. A New Year program included Mr Welch’s talk on putting God first, prayers by several members, a devotional, and reports on missionary work at Payne College and Korea. The event ended with the Lord’s Prayer.

Installation services were held Monday night for Honey Grove Chamber of Commerce officers with Rev B T L Peacock in charge. New officers include Earl Colns president John Barrett vice president Frank Welch secretary and Robert West as director. Honey Grove Lone Star Gas Company Abolished

The Honey Grove Lone Star Gas Company district is reorganized with absorption by Greenville Division and three surrounding towns joining from the old district. The change adds meters to Bonham Commerce Paris districts as part of a broader redistribution. Interment was in Oakswood Cemetery. Mrs Rhodes born August 26, 1872 survived by daughter Mrs John White and others.

Everyman's Class Supports March of Dimes Campaign

The 1952 March of Dimes drive received a boost from the Everyman's Class of the First Christian Church Alton J In eaid announced the class contributed 19 to MOD.
