Town cattle testing notices under Stock Diseases Act
Town cow testing in accordance with regulations under the Stock Diseases Act, cattle are only admitted to the Bombala TB Protected Area subject to their being tested and found free from tuberculosis. Owners introducing cattle are reminded to notify the Town Clerk of their intention to bring cattle into the area and to report cattle sent out or transferred. TB testing of cattle is rapidly extending in New South Wales and after this month all raw milk to Sydney and Newcastle must come from TB tested cows.

Imlay Shire Council backs road development plan
At a meeting of the Imlay Shire Council Mr T G Napier pressed for council authority to discuss with the Victorian Country Roads Board the border linking the Wanerabelle Border road with a developmental road from Pericoe Rockton to the border. The council agreed to support Napier with a letter and to pursue assurances from the Main Roads Department. The council resolved to apply for proclamation of the road as developmental and thanked Napier for his assistance.
