John Edward Bennett died after a paralytic stroke at Bombala Hospital on Tuesday. He had lived in the Bibbenlake district, farmed at Exeter, and served briefly as an alderman. He leaves two daughters Mrs J W Thomas and Mrs Bett Irvin, and his wife Mrs Margaret Badgery is deceased.
