A jumbled Bombala area paper recalls memorials for Margaret Langhorn and others, notes obituaries and family remembrances, and previews church events, auctions, and social activities. It reports football results, a court case on stolen goods, drought impacts on dingo packs, and a police court dismissal, all in a late 19th or early 20th century local tone.
The Bombala Red Cross Society starts the year with 23 pounds and gains 137 pounds, aided by a six month depot that contributed 100 pounds. Donations to Graythwaite Home and the Consumptives’ Homes total 66 pounds, leaving a credit balance of 11. Mrs. Boys receives special praise for running the depot since January, with initial costs now seen as assets. A local death and two weddings were noted, along with football results and a police court outcome involving Mollie Bays and Harold Ellis.
The second balance sheet of the Bombala Literary Institute shows a favorable year over year. The credit and current account are £18 higher despite £134 spent on improvements. The Hall’s size is debated by the public owners, while the Library and Reading Room are well supplied. The Club Room revenue rose after six o’clock, becoming a key billiard venue. The caretaker and librarian, Mr. H. L. Robbie, is praised for diligence and support.
Mr EF Dawson says Dickens furniture for sale on Thursday. Mr Robert Allan and Miss Miriam Repmand, both of this town, were married last week. The Bombala Sheep Show schedule is in the printer’s hands and will be available soon. Mr W Dunsmore and his sister Mrs Henwood have purchased the Adelaide Hotel Moraya with possession due August 0th.

A key sequence takes place in Scotland featuring a heroine in a quicksand peril. Also shown is Mack Sennett's It's a Boy as the comic relief.

Bombala Tennis Club visitors beat Cooma 13 sets to 4 in a keenly contested display at Cooma after a social dance. The match totals show 18 rubbers, 28 sets, 222 games for Bombala and 4 rubbers, 12 sets, 141 games for Cooma, with praise for Cooma hosts.
From Our Own Correspondent reports a church building fund event at St Joseph and notes Miss Shinfield leaving to teach Kameruka School. Mr Reid urged railway support to Bombala at a P and A meeting. PL and A Society held its annual meeting with 30 members and profit, debating a two day show. Winter weather brought six inches of snow, hail and rain, disrupting travel to Bombala via Omigie.
Cathcart notes the death of Mr. Graham father of Mrs. Vers non in Picton last week. Mr. G Gerathy leaves for Sydney hospital for medical treatment due to a leg wound from the war. Departure for Wolumla is delayed. Many youths plan matrimony soon. A Herd Testing Association proposal will be considered at the forthcoming half-yearly meeting of the factory shareholders.
