It urges readers to visit the store for a free 25 cent package and lists benefits for indigestion headaches and kidney bladder issues. Special Agent W A Gatelius promotes the remedy.
Many seek affordable, mild climate lands in Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas. Low rates for homeseekers and colonists twice a month via St. Louis Cairo or Memphis. Descriptive literature details soil, crops, climate, people, and routes.
At the Adam Hesher gravel pit north of the city a traction engine slipped back in soft banks after rain and snow. It neared the water and could not be freed before the site was closed for the year. Hesher returned Saturday seeking tackles and chains to recover it.
J. O. Brown and family returned from Lawrenceburg Tennessee where he parted from Pete Hartman and John Trostel and will settle in Bluffton. Trostel now controls the mill and will focus on hoops. Hartman sold out and will return home. Brown plans contracting, while Hartman will farm. Also noted, William Newhard was taken to the poor farm due to mental health concerns after living with his aunt Mrs. Greenfield. An odd regional poem about Poor Richard ends the item.

Mack and Sons filed another divorce case in circuit court on Saturday. Runkle v Runkle concerns abandonment with the couple once living in Jackson township. The bride was a minor about to become a mother. marriage aimed to avoid a paternity charge. A warrant exists for Runkle and officers are seeking him as the case proceeds before M W Walbert.
The Hay Makers of Bluffton Indiana plan a big yearly gathering next Thursday evening. Invitations have been sent to lodges in Marion Fort Wayne Frankfort Decatur Muncie Hartford City Barbers Mills Delphos and Columbia City. State President Mock and State Secretary Nobel will attend. A 7 o clock parade in costume with torchlights will start the event followed by initiation and a banquet.
A daylight burglary occurred Saturday between 1 and 2 PM at the home of Charles Betz and his mother on the corner of Indiana and Wiley avenues. Mrs Betz found the house disturbed and ten dollars missing with suspicion that more items will be reported as missing after a thorough check. Police notified. no suspect yet and recent thefts have increased in the area.
Hugh Stout applies to sell liquor in Harrison township. He aims to place the saloon in the southwest corner of the township near Poneto. A remonstrance from neighbors would block the license, but none has been filed yet.

R S Ashe reports exterior wiring complete for Bluffton’s new electric light plant. A shipment from General Electric is expected in December, likely the start of the new year. City crews have wired over two thousand lights and the opera house will use more than three hundred 16 candlepower lamps.

Mrs G W Grimes and her daughter Miss Helen left Saturday for Oxford Ohio to visit Mrs Sloan an old college friend of Mrs Grimes over Sunday. From there they will travel to Cincinnati where Miss Grimes will enter the Ohio Conservatory of Music.
Public sale posted by Tom W. Terrell and agents Jim and Jew for November 24, 1903 at 10 oclock a.m. on a Camden and Bluffton pike farm south of Petroleum. Items include twenty head of cattle hay in barn and stack corn in crib a defying horse a breaking plow and other articles. Safe to begin promptly at 10.
