Tazewell Virginia Chief of Police Frank D. Plummer, 37, died of a self inflicted gunshot wound after the town council placed him on three months probation following multiple executive sessions. He was found in his car on Grapefield Road near the county line. The mayor said reasons for probation were not disclosed.
