Mercer County names ER doctor as health officer

Dr. Kathy Wides became Mercer County Health Department health officer on July 1 after Dr. Allen Dyer left. The department had shared resources with Raleigh County, a contract that ended June 30. Modest Life Behind Vast Estate of Keystone Bank Leader

The late J Knox McConnell former president of First National Bank of Keystone lived modestly renting an apartment in Bluewell. He left a probate estate of 18689478 with non probate assets 4374570 and a total estate value of 23800000 at death on Oct 26 1997. His will from Apr 9 1993 provided Billie Cherry 250000 in government securities yielding about 15000 yearly for ten years.
