Death Strikes Again In Army Aces Ranks
San Diego California September 25 Death struck again among the Army air service Three Musketeers. Lieut W L Cornelius died when his plane locked wings with Lieut Roger V Williams of Spokane during a Iulberry circle at about 1200 feet. Williams leaped and parachuted to safety but Cornelius crash landed with the two aircraft. Williams survived with minor injuries. Cornelius, 26, a University of Oklahoma graduate and former member of the Missouri Valley Conference champion team, was killed two weeks after Lieut J J Williams perished at the national air races. Irving A Woodring survived as the lone member of the trio.
