Bank invites public to learn new savings feature

The Union Bank and Trust Company announces Mr. J B Ebeling of Wheeling West Virginia will be with them until late October to assist in starting a savings department. He heads the Dollar Savings and Trust Company in Wheeling and under his leadership savings totaling $1 500 000 have been built. the bank invites all to call for information on starting maintaining and benefits of a savings account.

Gulf Compress Company Dissolved by Mississippi Chancellor

Chancellor Hicks in Vicksburg ruled the Gulf Compress Company an illegal trust and gave it one year to wind up operations and withdraw. He denied a receiver, a victory for District Attorney James D Thalmes who had sought appointment of a receiver to take charge of the company’s affairs.
