Raymond Sparks Dead Funeral Monday
Raymond CC Sparks aged twelve died at his grandfather Frank Brown's home on Exister Street last night at 55 o'clock. He was the son of Mr and Mrs John Sparks of Bluefield and is survived by three sisters and two brothers. The funeral will be held at Exister Street home Monday at 2 30 PM with interment in Walnut Grove cemetery.

The Bluefield Chapter American Red Cross will host a regional conference on Thursday September 18 with about forty counties from West Virginia and Virginia represented. Complete Rebuilding Water Mains This Week
The Bluefield Water Works and Improvement Company will nearly finish rebuilding the mains on Bluefield avenue between Poplar and Mercer streets this week. They have handed the section between Paris and Poplar to paying contractors and now have water in the new main west of Thomas street. Replacing service lines and relocating fire hydrants takes time, but work so far has caused no major inconvenience to consumers in that city area.

Miss Mary Wilson forty six daughter of I James Wilson of Princess Anne Md died at 1 PM in a Clarksburg hospital after an operation. She had lived in Clarksburg thirteen years and was active in the League of Women Voters and an officer of the Business and Professional Women's Club. Burial will be at her home.
