Postal worker charged with stealing narcotics mailed to VA hospital
Ammie Hale of Tazewell Va faces multiple counts of theft of mail matter by officer or employee in the Western District of Virginia. An Aug. 18 indictment alleges thefts on Feb 26 July 1 and Aug 5 and false statements to USPS agents. Hale was arrested Aug 5 and released on 25000 dollar unsecured bond as trial was delayed to 2021 by U S Magistrate Pamela Meade Sargent.
