Thirty six persons were committed to the county jail over the weekend on misdemeanor charges the largest number in months. City police accounted for twelve while county state and chief officers accounted for 24 most accused of drunkenness. Low Hill fined 25 dollars and costs for leaving the scene of an accident after a Beckley road collision. Several arrests credited to Constable Christian Sgt DeMoss and Deputy McGuire. Other notes include local residents visiting relatives and military transfers of Cpl Hatcher from Camp Crowder to Camp Oinedale California.
