Hurley floods leave dozens of homes destroyed in Buchanan County
Heavy rains triggered a flash flood on Guesses Fork Road in Hurley Virginia destroying about 34 homes and causing major damage to 15 residences with seven more damaged. One death is confirmed and the body has been sent for examination as swift water rescue teams aided around 50 people. Search and rescue operations ended Thursday according to Chief Deputy Eric Breeding.
