Suspect in 2020 Matoaka kidnapping case awaits prelim hearing
Rex Allen Hurt, 39, of Charleston, held on an outstanding warrant, was captured at a Princeton residence and later moved to Southern Regional Jail. He faces kidnapping and assault charges for a December 31, 2020 incident in Matoaka where he forced entry into a home with two adults and five children aged 2 to 7, barricading himself upstairs with victims.
