Easy Money Box Scam Targets Bank Deposits
In Oceanside a robber posted a note on a First California Bank night drop claiming deposits should go into a bogus box. Two women deposited cash in a shabby wooden box, with losses possibly up to $20 each. Police and bank security tightened for days after the incident.
