Online sting leads to Roanoke man’s arrest in sex case
A Roanoke man, Frank George Bonds, 53, was arrested in Beckley on federal charges after an undercover postal inspector posed online as a 13 year old girl in an AOL chat. Bonds arranged to meet at a Best Western on I-77 and was taken into custody by a joint task force. Bonds faces crossing state lines with intent to engage in sexual relations with a minor and was ordered held with a preliminary hearing set for Oct. 21 in Beckley.
