West Virginia reports 110 more COVID deaths as cases peak

Woman indicted in Mercer County after shooting man she believed possessed
Monica Suzette Hartwell 52 of Lashmeet was indicted by the October 2021 Mercer County Grand Jury for first degree murder in the July 26 2020 shooting death of 62 year old Michael Walker. Hartwell remains held without bond at Southern Regional Jail. Trooper Shiflette testified at the preliminary hearing that the shooting occurred on Presbyterian Avenue in Lashmeet around 3 30 pm.
