News from Bluefield reports the death of Mrs. W H Kelly at her Tazewell home about 5 am after a brief pneumonia illness. At 63 she leaves four children W W Kelly Pocahontas James Kelly North Dakota Dr J G Kelly Bluefield and G Y Kelly Bristol and a brother William Kelly Fauquier VA. Interment is planned for Tazewell cemetery this afternoon.

Mr Peace of the Gamewell Fire Company New York plans to visit Bluefield about the 19th to press for a city fire alarm system. Fire chief Mr Spieden says Bluefield is badly in need, proposing a citizen committee to urge council and chamber to adopt a plan costing about 7000 dollars for twenty four boxes with a five year payment period and free pole and wiring space from the Bluefield Telephone Company.
