Suspected arson under investigation in Bluefield fire
Officials say a vacant two story house at 112 Lee St in Bluefield caught fire at 4 35 am Sunday. Capt. Rick Adkins of the Bluefield Fire Department says about 45 percent of the structure burned and the flames hinted at fuel oil and diesel fuel. The house erupted during firefighting efforts but no firefighters were hurt. The origin is in the kitchen dining area with the back door missing and arson suspected as investigators S J Cary and D M Dillon of the Bluefield Police Department lead the inquiry.
