ATV collision kills Bluewell man in Route 52 crash
A Polaris ATV driven by Bobby Joe Dudley Jr, 44, collided with a loaded tractor-trailer on U.S. Route 52 in Bluewell. Dudley's passenger Joseph Hicks, 47, was seriously injured and later listed in stable condition at Bluefield Regional Medical Center. Truck driver Charles Carper, 49, reported back and arm injuries. Drugs and possibly alcohol were involved. ATVs are not allowed on public roads. Witnesses reported one of the occupants fled the scene.
