Vatican Ecumenical Council commission reportedly accepted Pope Paul VI’s suggestion to stress the present validity of past Church teaching against artificial birth control. The move follows Pope Paul’s instruction to include the teachings of Pius XI and Pius XII to clarify current stance amid reports of division in Vatican circles.
