Man Attempts ATM Theft in Boulder
In Boulder Colorado authorities say a man tried to steal a free standing outdoor ATM by hauling it away with a U Haul truck. The plan failed and no money was taken. Police found the ATM on its side about 15 feet from its foundation outside a Chase Bank. Surveillance showed a chain hooked to the truck. the stolen vehicle was found nearby.

Virginia dentist pleads guilty to drug distribution
Dr Peter M. Francisco, a 57 year old Tazewell County dentist, pleaded guilty in Abingdon federal court to three counts of illegal distribution of hydrocodone. From 2000 to 2009 he issued prescriptions for over 10 000 hydrocodone pills to three people who filled and returned the pills. He surrendered prescribing privileges and must reimburse insurers and government agencies. Sentencing set for Feb 23 before Judge Glen M Williams. max 15 years in prison and 750 000 fine. The Virginia State Police led the investigation.
